VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in Arthroplasty to provide high?quality, patient-centered care to our nation’s Veterans. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, well?resourced environment within the greater Sacramento region.
Position Highlights:
- Focus on primary and revision arthroplasty, with opportunities to support general orthopedic procedures
- Dedicated OR block time supported by experienced anesthesia and surgical staff
- Access to advanced imaging, multidisciplinary teams, and on?site specialty services
- Opportunity for academic involvement with regional partners (if desired)
- Balanced schedule with protected administrative time
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients requiring joint replacement care
- Perform operative and non-operative orthopedic services including total joint procedures
- Participate in call coverage and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain compliance with VHA policies, documentation standards, and quality measures
- Engage in teaching, committee work, or process improvement initiatives as appropriate
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Arthroplasty (strongly preferred)
- Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- U.S. citizenship (required)
