VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in Arthroplasty to provide high?quality, patient-centered care to our nation’s Veterans. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, well?resourced environment within the greater Sacramento region.
Position Highlights:
Focus on primary and revision arthroplasty, with opportunities to support general orthopedic procedures
Dedicated OR block time supported by experienced anesthesia and surgical staff
Access to advanced imaging, multidisciplinary teams, and on?site specialty services
Opportunity for academic involvement with regional partners (if desired)
Balanced schedule with protected administrative time
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients requiring joint replacement care
Perform operative and non-operative orthopedic services including total joint procedures
Participate in call coverage and interdisciplinary team meetings
Maintain compliance with VHA policies, documentation standards, and quality measures
Engage in teaching, committee work, or process improvement initiatives as appropriate
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship training in Arthroplasty (strongly preferred)
Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
U.S. citizenship (required)
