Memorial Healthcare System, one of the largest public healthcare systems in the United States, is seeking an abdominal transplant surgeon for a growing adult and pediatric kidney transplant program. Clinical duties will include living and deceased donor kidney transplants, living donor nephrectomies, native nephrectomies, deceased donor multi-organ procurements and perioperative management of transplant patients. The position also requires active involvement in the transplant clinics, including patient evaluation and selection.
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:
ASTS accredited fellowship training
Board certified or eligible in surgery and/or urology
Experience in live donor laparoscopic nephrectomy and transplantation
Pediatric kidney transplant exposure
An interest in resident mentoring and education is preferred
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
