Even as medicine becomes more dependent on technology, the neurological exam will remain a critical component of the patient evaluation. He / She should have the capability to perform computed tomography (CT) or computer assisted tomography (CAT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electroencephalography (EEG), nerve conduction studies and electromyography (NCS/EMG) and lumbar puncture (LP) for cerebral spinal fluid analysis. Establish good communication skills and counsel patients in order to help them better understand their course of treatment. In addition to providing medical care, the Neurologist will work with a skilled team of professionals such as nurses, technicians and surgeons in order to ensure successful completion of required treatment for patients.
