The physician will work as a member of a disciplinary patient-centered health care team, collaborating with other members of the team to provide medical care to veterans enrolled on the team. The primary duty location will be in a Community Based Outpatient Clinic in either Ardmore or Enid, Oklahoma. The physician is expected to demonstrate advance competencies and skills in assessing the physical and psychosocial status of the patients and members, play an active role in the multidisciplinary health care team, promote preventive measures, practice patient-centered care, manage the acute and chronic conditions of his/her assigned panel of patients and patients assigned to other team members when circumstances requires. Position requires the doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State or Territory, or Commonwealth of the Unites States, or in the District of Columbia. Must be proficient in written and spoken English, in accordance with 38 USC 7402(d). Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. If selected for this position you must meet specific individual eligibility requirements, and submit your application within four months of appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office.
