The Department of Ophthalmology at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist in the subspecialty of Medical Retina. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System has one of the largest VA ophthalmology programs in the United States. Minneapolis is one the Midwest's finest cities and a center for recreation, education, entertainment and cultural excellence. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System currently seeking an Ophthalmologist in the subspecialty of Medical Retina. This individual will be joining a faculty that includes comprehensive, cornea, glaucoma, uveitis and surgical vitreoretinal subspecialties. The right applicants must have Fellowship training in medical retina American Board of Ophthalmology Certification (or Board Eligible) Eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota and An interest in resident training and supervision The successful candidate will be able to perform a broad range of retina related office based ophthalmologic procedures and provide a recent case list for review. The applicant must be eligible for Minnesota medical licensure. The Minneapolis VA HCS is one of the largest VA ophthalmology programs in the United States. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive authorized. Amount to be determined. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
