Albuquerque VA Healthcare Center is seeking two Ophthalmologists. Department is looking for providers with comprehensive and Glaucoma experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Supervise, instruct and assist specialty residents, students and ancillary health personnel in their evaluation and management of patients. Perform and interpret ocular testing/imaging procedures (ultra sonographic/optical coherence and ocular angiographic photography). Perform minimally invasive procedures which may include but are not limited to minor procedures: Removal of non-perforating corneal. Conjunctival or adnexal foreign bodies. Epilation of lashes. Expression of adnexal glands. Cyst excision. Dilation/irrigation of the nasolacrimal duct. Suture removal from the eye or adnexa. Insertion of punctual plugs Corneal debridement and corneal scraping for culturing. Perform aspirations of intraocular fluids and intraocular injections of drugs/ materials, regional anesthesia of eye and orbit and complete consults regarding Telemedicine.
