Education and length of practice are considered through a formal pay-setting process to determine the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay). Selectee may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program. Recruitment/relocation incentive may be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Duties may include but are not limited to: o Urology consultation for inpatients and outpatients. o Evaluate and treat Urology emergencies in the Emergency Department, Outpatient clinic, Inpatient ward, ICU, and the Operating Room. o Provide professional services requiring full range of inpatient and outpatient Urology procedures. o Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with applicable policies and regulations. o Responsible for being able to admit, work-up, and treat either surgical or medical patients presenting with illness or injuries of the genitourinary systems. o Evaluate the patient to assess any changes in the physical status, lab values and vital signs of the patient prior to surgery. Appropriate notes are written in the patient's medical records, times, dates, and signed. o Ability to perform minor and major surgical procedures. o Responsible for providing the patient with risks, benefits and alternative treatments and securing the informed consent of the patient/family needed before conducting invasive procedures. o Responsible for regular postoperative follow-up, patient teaching and wound care upon discharge orders in the chart in a timely manner. o Perform emergency surgical procedures as needed. o Complete all electronic, clinical, daily charting and documentation required by the Medical Center in a timely manner. o Participate in all surgical quality/performance improvement initiatives. o Other duties as assigned. Tour of Duty: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, however, subject to change depending on the needs of the Medical Center. On call responsibilities as required. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
