Hematologist-Oncologist - Opportunity in Beautiful Boston
The Boston VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Hematologist-Oncologist to join our team. Seeking candidates with current experience to provide excellent patient care combined with teaching in both oncology and hematology. A demonstrated interest in clinical investigation is preferred. The successful candidate should be eligible for appointment as Instructor or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) or Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). The Hematology-Oncology Section serves patients across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care and is a major training site for fellows from BUSM-affiliated programs. The Section's faculty conducts basic, clinical and translational research in coagulation, multiple myeloma, and point-of-care precision oncology. Additional valuable resources include access to a large VA biorepository based at VABHS and the VA clinical trials network.
VABHS is the major tertiary referral center for Veterans from throughout New England and is strongly affiliated with HMS and BUSM. The System comprises three major campuses and five community-based outpatient clinics. VABHS is the largest recipient of VA intramural research funds and ranks among the top VA facilities in total research funding.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State.
Board Eligibility/Certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
Current practice in hematology and oncology is strongly preferred.
Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health for our Veterans
Predictable work schedules and a focus on quality rather than volume.
