Job Summary: The family practice physician provides health care services to patients of all ages under the approved medical protocols of the health center and under the supervision of a Chief Medical Officer.
Skills: The ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public. Detail oriented with the ability to work with no supervision. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication. Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives. Verbal ability is necessary to provide instruction and communicate concerns to patients as well as support staff. Form perception is necessary to observe pertinent details when working with patients and equipment. Manual dexterity is necessary for easy and skillful use of hands during patient care.
Education/Experience: Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic degree. Current license to practice medicine in the state of California and the ability to maintain the license including appropriate continuing education as required by the Board. Physician must have a current DEA license and maintain it during the course of employment. Experience in general practice; preferably Board Certified in Family Practice. Prefer Advanced Cardiac Life Support training, CPR training is required.
