Hospital Owned Hospice Program started in 1978 as a volunteer organization. It became associated with McLeod Regional Medical center in 1984 and the Administrator has been with the program since 1988. 40 RNs, 8, chaplains, 2 full time physicians and 7 PRN physicians, 10 social workers and 20 home health aides. 24 bed freestanding Hospice House built in 2005 providing service to 11 counties is the strongest and longest serving hospice program in the region. The stand alone building is conveniently located on the hospital campus with access to all subspecialty care (level 2 trauma facility, teaching facility, 500 beds)
Hours are from 8:00a - 5:00p Monday-Friday with easy call 1:5 weekends
