Swedish Shared Services is looking for a Staffing Assistant \(0\.75 FTE, Variable\) to work in the Nursing Resource Office at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA\.
The Staffing Assistant is responsible for working in conjunction with the Administrative Supervisor and the charge nurses of the various nursing units to place patients into appropriate beds and to staff the nursing units with the appropriate personnel\.
In this position you will:
Manage the status of each employee in the assigned nursing unit
Handle sick calls or other notices that staff is not available
Record absences and reassigning qualified personnel from a non\-critical coverage area to fill a vacancy
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED
General experience dealing with staffing and scheduling of nursing units, health clinics, or other care facilities
Strong customer service and telephone skills required, ability to negotiate and de\-escalate anxious callers
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting \(tertiary healthcare or hospital preferred\)
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Familiarity with electronic scheduling system Shiftwise, Optilink and Kronos preferred
